Project Update - "Yesterday" The Norrods

Greetings everyone,

We are so excited to announce that we are in the process of finishing our second project entitled, "Yesterday". Once again the folks at AOK Records have provided great direction for The Norrod Family.  This new project is a fresh approach to classic old songs that we have grown to love throughout the years.  Adam Knight is back producing our newest album. We have enjoyed working with Adam in the past and we am certain this time will be no different.  He is a very talented friend that contributes a loving and honest touch to everything we do in the studio.  "Yesterday" includes songs like Gene Reasoner's, "He Didn't Throw the Clay Away", Hemphill's classics, "It Wasn't Raining" and "Master of the Wind", and the project title "Yesterday" written by George Younce, as sung by The Cathedrals.  Beautiful ballads like "It's My Desire", and The Mighty Kingsmen Quartet's classic song "He's All I Need" are also on this new project.  "Yesterday" includes beloved hymns like "In the Sweet By and By", "The Circuit Rider Preacher", "When the Saints Go Marchin' In" and as a special treat, "Farther Along" backed by a one-woman choir: the one and only Angie Primm!  The Norrod family's project "Yesterday" is a musical reminder that though times may change and people may change, Jesus is always the same!

We are so thankful for God providing some of gospel music's best musicians for "Yesterday".  Mike Schrimpf on piano, organ, strings, and harmonica, Wanda Vick Birchfeild on banjo, mandolin, and violin,  Tony Dingus on steel, Corey Hensley (Formerly of Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver) on bass,  Eddy Anderson on drums,  and Mike Baker on guitar.  I felt honored to play piano and organ with these talented folks on "Yesterday".  Bekah Brown Photography has once again done a fantastic job with photography.  Thank you Bekah for once again bringing your professional eye to our project!

We are working on getting back into the studio now and should be finished very soon, as the Lord wills.

Please continue to pray for us as we endeavor to do something for the Kingdom of God and to be a blessing to others.

Blessings,
Bro Ben
