Samantha grew up in a house with a chef, her dad. She comes from a long line of great home cooks on both sides of her family. For example, Samantha’s mother recently gave me a extra long-handled wooden spoon her father whittled years ago because he couldn't find a proper spoon for gigantic family soup recipes.My father became a professional omelet maker because of the years he spent in restaurants cracking eggs and frying up bacon for thousands of hungry customers. Our girls have grown up around cooking of all styles and cultures. As for me, I'll go ahead and address the elephant in the room. I mean, hey, I’m no stranger to food. All you have to do is browse our photo section to see that! Over the past few years, I’ve not only become very passionate about the culinary arts, as some would describe it, but I am obsessed with all things food these days. Traveling opens up the door to the culinary world in ways you wouldn’t imagine. From small town bistros, to big city fine dining, I find myself becoming more and more enamored with food. We’ve encountered so many styles of cooking through the years. Not to mention, we’ve been in and out of a hundred unique restaurants across the United States.
